Pay It Forward
Pay It Forward to support Healing Humanity
Here at Sacred Tree Traditions, we have been offering Healing Ceremonies and Workshops since the year 2000 to those who are down and out in many aspects of their lives and who have little or no financial resources to pay for these services.
Now at this pivotal time we are joining the incentive of ''Pay It Forward'' in order to continue this work of love and healing humanity. We are therefore calling on Angels who believe in the work that we do and who also believe in keeping healing activities open to those who have no financial resources to gain access to them.
Who are our clients? Our clients are mainly people who are existing in various states of dis-empowerment and are looking to find themselves. People who have lost all notion of themselves, living in a state of victimization and physical illnesses. We also provide service to men and women who have exhausted the medical system and have been told that there is nothing established medicine can do for them.
While I was in Canada, we opened our home and offered services to male inmates who are seeking to seriously re-integrate society - we did not receive any compensation from the government or any other organization for the work we did with them, and we are not a registered non-profit organization. We are a traditional community living under indigenous traditions.
We have always operated through donations from those who can afford to give. Now we are opening it up to the public in acceptance of your support.
Bringing It Into Reality
Pay It Forward is an idea based on an act of pure selflessness. How do we bring this concept into reality? How can one ordinary person—you or me—make a positive difference in this world?
One way is the practice of "Paying It Forward." While the steps might be simple, the outcome could create a sense of luck and good will that changes the world. Here is a simple four step process to manifest the idea of paying it foward, whose outcome can effectively change our world.
- Be attentive wherever you are for opportunities to help someone. Perhaps you have an elderly or disabled neighbor who is too proud to ask for help with their yard work or maybe you're in a restaurant and see someone who looks like they could use some kind stranger to pay for their meal. You can change people's attitudes about the world through your unobtrusive acts of kindness.
- Do something nice for someone you do not know, or do not know very well. It should be something significant, and not for a person from whom you expect a good deed—or anything at all, for that matter—in return.
- Spread the word. If the person thanks you and wants to "repay" you (that is, pay it "back"), let them know that what you'd really like is for them to pay it "forward"—you'd like them to do something nice for three people they don't know, and ask those three people to do something nice for three more people. The idea is to consciously increase the goodness of the world.
- Pay it forward. When you notice that somebody has done something nice for you, make a note in your mind to practice three acts of kindness towards other people, as mentioned above.
The "Pay It Forward" concept was popularized with the book Pay It Forward by Catherine Ryan Hyde, which was later made into a movie with the same title, starring Helen Hunt, Haley Joel Osment, and Kevin Spacey.
Practicing the "Pay It Forward" principle will make you alert to unexpected kindness from strangers toward you, and you may find yourself becoming more grateful for everyday kindness and consideration from people you don't even know. It makes the world a friendlier place.
Your Opportunity to offer a Full or Partial Scholarship to The Emotional Intelligence Workshop
I have had many requests recently, for scholarships from those who are interested in participating in the Emotional Intelligence Workshop.
By Paying It Forward to Sacred Tree Traditions you will be helping someone access the tools necessary to change their life for the better and assist in building a more responsible enlightened community.
In the past I have always assigned one place in the group for a full scholarship offered by Sacred Tree Traditions. Due to the present demands, I am looking at offering two more places, for a maximum of three scholarships.
Your donations will go fully towards scholarship funding for participants in future Emotional Intelligence Workshops.
The cost for a full scholarship in the workshop is $697.00 USD per person. Any amount donated will be greatly appreciated and will go towards a full or partial scholarship for the workshop.
The next workshop is scheduled for the fall season of 2020
Thank you for your contribution and creating a better world for someone through this practice of 'Paying It Forward'.
Many Blessings to you - Donna Maria Camps
