Therapeutic Action
Lemongrass Essential Oil is used to regulate the autonomic nervous system (which regulates the internal organs), especially when it is mixed with Lavender, Chamomile or Marjoram. It balances the nervous system and possesses a sedative quality. This oil is used in cases of elevated nervous tension, stress and overwork. It is relaxing, calming and is used in cases of depression, chronic anxiety, nervousness and nervous exhaustion. It is also used to calm headaches, stimulate concentration, against fatigue and to recuperate strength in cases of convalescence.
On the respiratory system, this oil acts as a disinfectant, it can be used against influenza, colds and sinusitis.
On the digestive system, it is used against intestinal infections and to assist in digestive issues. It stimulates digestion, it calms gastric overstimulation, colitis, rickets and is used to eliminate intestinal worms.
On the circulatory system, it activates the circulation and acts as a cutaneous vasodilator. It is purifying and acts as a tonic.
On the muscular and articulation system, Lemongrass Essential Oil can be used to calm pains and eliminate lactic acid. It is refreshing and stimulating, it calms athlete’s foot, and can be used as a deodorant.
On the lymphatic system, it is a powerful antiseptic, a bactericide and a fungicide. It can be used to lower fever, to combat infections and infectious diseases, it is anti-inflammatory. It promotes the production of breastmilk, therefore it should not be used by women who want to stop the production of breastmilk.

Dosage: Use at a maximum 1% concentration in carrier oils. For ingestion, a maximum of 6 drops per day.
