Blessing
''This is the night of the Solstice, the longest night of the year.
Now darkness, triumphs gives way and changes into light. The breath breathes from within the Cauldron, the Dark King is transformed into the Infant Light. Dawn is coming, the Great Goddess gives birth to the Divine Child of Sun Light, who is bringer of hope and promise of summer.
We are awake in the night. We turn the Wheel to bring light.
We call the sun from the womb of night.
Queen of the Sun! Queen of the Moon! Queen of the Horns! Queen of the Fires! Bring us the Child of Promise! The tide has turned! The Light has come again! In a new Dawn in a new way! In a new Time! In a new Day! The Sun is rising! Blessed be!''
Fresh Apple Cake Recipe
2 Eggs
1 1/2 Cups Sugar
2 Teaspoons Cinnamon
1/2 Cup Oil
6 Medium Apples
2 Cups Flour
2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
Method:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Grease a 9 1/2 inch flute cake pan.
In a large bowl mix eggs, sugar, cinnamon and oil. Peel and slice the apples and add to mixture in bowl, coating as you go, to keep apples from turning brown.
In a smaller bowl, mix together the flour and baking powder. Add the flour & baking powder mix to the apple mixture.
Mix well with a fork, until all of the flour is absorbed by the wet ingredients. Pour mixture into greased cake pan.
Bake for 55 minutes.
- Blessed Be
